1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Beat the Riff ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Beat the Riff is a concert intelligence and community platform for metal music fans. The App provides concert discovery, pit intelligence (arrival timing, spot strategy, queue management), community features (Metalheads network, event chats, direct messaging), concert stats, post-show timelines, and subscription services (Riff Pass, Riff Pro).

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App
• One person may maintain only one account

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Beat the Riff offers paid subscription tiers processed through Stripe:

• Riff Pass — Per-show access to pit intelligence features
• Riff Pro — Monthly subscription for full platform access including Metal Stats, Concert Identity, and Post-Show Timelines
• Lifetime Premium — One-time payment for permanent full access

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us for refund requests.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, videos, messages, crowd reports). By posting content, you grant Beat the Riff a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content within the App for the purpose of providing the service.

You agree not to:

• Post illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing content
• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Share misleading crowd reports or false information
• Spam chat rooms or community features
• Impersonate other users
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose

6. Pit Intelligence Disclaimer

Pit intelligence features (arrival timing, spot strategy, queue estimates) are based on historical data and community-sourced signals. They are recommendations only and do not guarantee a specific spot or experience at any venue. Actual conditions vary based on event demand, venue policies, weather, and other factors beyond our control.

Beat the Riff does not control venue entry, security, or crowd management. Always follow venue rules and staff instructions.

7. Community Guidelines

The Metalheads community is built on respect among metal fans. Users who violate community standards (harassment, hate speech, doxxing, spam) may have their accounts suspended or terminated without refund.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Beat the Riff. The Beat the Riff name, logo, and branding are our trademarks. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

Beat the Riff is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to missed concerts, incorrect arrival recommendations, or data loss.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App.

11. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of material changes via the App or email.
